Fringed Ramie Cushion Covers, Set of Two

A pair of cushion covers knit from 70% ramie and 30% cotton, with a short fringe along the edges. Ramie is a natural bast fibre — breathable, soft to the hand, and hard-wearing — and the face of the cover is left plain, so the fringe is the only detail doing any work.

Set them on a sofa, a bed, or a bench and they read as texture rather than pattern, in earthy colors that sit easily beside what is already in the room. They come in two sizes: a 12 by 20 inch lumbar and an 18 by 18 inch square.

The covers ship on their own, with no inserts included, so they go over pillows you already have. Hand washing is recommended; machine wash inside a bag on a gentle cycle, tumble dry low, and leave the iron alone. Like the fabric itself, they get softer and more lived-in with every wash.
